Layering the Liners
For this month’s “Coconut White,” the team and I decided to channel a 60’s theme and brighten up our looks with big hair and exaggerated cat liner.
Generally speaking, white eyeliner is often used on the water line to open up and brighten the eye, but it is also great applied a top of your black liner for a bold retro look. For this particular photo shoot, I showed 2 different ways to layer the contrasting liner.
On Sara, I brightened her water line on her lower lash line with white liner, and then created a triple layer cat eye effect by adding white between 2 bold black lines.
With Gina, I went with the “white black, white black” look. This is simply layering the white liner on top of the black liner for both the eyelid and lower lash line. Both applications are a fun way to incorporate a little nostalgia in a modern look!
