The 1980’s is a big trend that has been building these past few years and now has taken center stage not only in fashion, but also in makeup. The Spring 2017 runways were filled with voluminous hair, bright colors, and graphic eyeliner. Pantone’s Radiant Orchid is a fabulously rich lilac that can easily inspire an ’80’s vibe. On Stevie, I wanted to create a modern spin on a 80’s standard - graphic liner. Keeping the lid neutral, I took to the lower lash line to draw out a winged look using Urban Decay’s “24/7 Glide On” eye pencil in Asphyxia. In keeping with the trend I painted Stevie’s lips with Maybelline’s “Vivid Matte Liquid" lipstick in colorway 42, Orchid Shock. This is a great way to stain the lip with a lasting pigment, but we are talking 80’s and that lip needs to shine! The newly arrived “Chubby Plump and Shine” lip gloss from Clinique in Goliath Grape will moisturize the lip and give it that light reflecting, must-be-kissed look we wanted to achieve.
